Morgan Rogers scored the final goal as England stunned Croatia by inflicting their heaviest defeat on record, as the Three Lions ran out 7-0 winners in Rijeka.

The unforgettable win also means England have equalled the record for the biggest margin of victory in the Nations League since the competition was launched in 2018, matching Germany's 7–0 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina in November 2024.

Croatia went into the contest 13th in the world rankings but you wouldn't have thought there were only nine places between the sides as England dominated from start to finish.

Having started Tuesday’s victory over Czechia, Rogers was among the substitutes for this encounter as former Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel made five changes to his starting XI.

England took control early on, with Harry Kane opening the scoring after eight minutes following a pass from Bellingham. The midfielder then added his own name to the scoresheet, before Anthony Gordon headed home Jarell Quansah’s delivery and Bukayo Saka made it four before the interval.

There was little respite for the hosts after the restart. Kane converted Elliot Anderson’s low cross to register his second of the evening, before turning provider for Saka to complete his own double midway through the half.

Rogers entered the action in the 69th minute and soon threatened to create another, finding Saka with a low ball from the left, only for the winger to fire over.

Our No.10 would have a goal to celebrate himself with three minutes of normal time remaining, though. Rogers timed his run in behind perfectly as Bellingham released the 24-year-old. He then showed composure to take it around goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic before finishing into the unguarded net.

The Three Lions conclude their extended international break back at Wembley on Tuesday against Czechia.
