With Father’s Day fast approaching, we celebrate the Chelsea dads out there by hearing some of their favourite memories supporting the Blues.

We were thrilled to welcome five Chelsea-mad dads to Stamford Bridge ahead of Father’s Day this Sunday 21 June.

The dads, accompanied by their children, were able to enjoy a Stadium Tour and receive a special gift - and they also went down memory lane by choosing their favourites Chelsea matches and players from over the years.

Singling out a memory following their beloved Blues above the rest was no easy task, but their selection spanned decades and, unsurprisingly, silverware!

Alwyn Hoogwerf and his son Cameron have been season ticket holders together for over 20 years…

'Our favourite moment was the first Premier League we won,’ says Cameron.

‘It was the first season I turned up to Chelsea and from that point it was a snowball. All the memories I have stemmed from that 2005 season, all the away games we’ve been to. We have had some good times together and proper father and son moments of happiness.’

Andy Gill and his sons Ciaran and Jayden were there for one of our greatest nights…

‘We went to Porto during covid for the Champions League final, and just to experience it and share that moments with my boys – and obviously to win as well - that was probably the best,’ says Andy.

Geoffrey Stanhope named his youngest daughter Chelsea, so she had no choice in loving the Blues!

‘I went to the Club World Cup final last year, a 17-hour trip,’ says Geoffrey.

‘My daughter couldn’t go because she was watching England v Wales at the Women’s Euros. We FaceTimed before kick-off, which was at the same time! It was a mental weekend trip. I didn’t expect us to win, so that was the best.’

Chris Mendez and his son Barnaby had a memorable bonding experience in Poland…

‘We went to Wroclaw for the Conference League final with my son,’ says Chris.

‘We went out there for four days. It was an absolutely amazing time. My son was 19 then so he could have a beer and I could take him everywhere. It was a really great few days to spend some time with him and to win the trophy.’

Spencer Maloney was joined by his two sons, including Joseph who picked our maiden Champions League triumph as the family’s best moment yet…

‘It has to be Munich 2012,’ says Joseph.

‘Spending the entire day with around a million Germans in the city, meeting up with a couple of friends in the city, spending 19 hours going there on a coach, 19 hours going back on a coach.

‘Almost in tears watching Mata miss a penalty, then tears of joy afterwards, everyone hugging each other. It was everything that encapsulates being Chelsea, and that’s thanks to our Dad.’

There are plenty of possible presents available in the Chelsea store and online, which you can purchase by clicking here, while a Stadium Tour is the perfect way to celebrate your Dad and spend more time at the Bridge!
