Nicolas Jackson made it 11 goals in Blue across all competitions with his header against Brentford and he has been reflecting on his development since moving to Stamford Bridge.

In his first season in English football, the Senegalese forward has helped the Blues reach the Carabao Cup final while producing some stand-out displays, including scoring a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur.

The summer signing from Villarreal has also proved to be a versatile asset under head coach Mauricio Pochettino, being deployed on the flanks or through the middle, allowing other players like Cole Palmer to occupy the spaces further forward.

Despite Nicolas Jackson’s impressive form, which includes goals against Aston Villa, Leeds United and most recently Brentford, our No15 knows there is more to come as he continues to gain experience in English football.

’It's not enough because I have missed a lot,’ Jackson reflected.

‘For me, I should have a lot more, but every game I try to make the team win and help my team-mates. My team-mates have helped me as well so every game, even if I don’t score, I want to win.

‘I have missed a lot of chances. I should have more than 11 goals, but for me, it is just the beginning and I’m just starting to feel pleased in England. I keep moving forward.’

Jackson also acknowledged that the squad are developing together as the Blues hope to end the season on a high, with the club still in the FA Cup and battling in the Premier League.

‘We always fight until the end,’ he added.

‘It’s coming slowly because we are a young team and there is a lack of experience in the goals we have conceded.

‘We are just trying to be one family, one group and trying to fight for each other. Game by game we are seeing results, so I think we will achieve something this year.’
