Reece James and Levi Colwill believe winning the Conference League would prove an important moment for many within the Chelsea squad, as we prepare for tomorrow's final against Real Betis in Wroclaw.

With all eyes on Poland ahead of tomorrow's showpiece event, the defensive pair of James and Colwill will be hoping to play their part in a piece of Chelsea history as the Blues look to complete the set of UEFA competitions with a Conference League triumph.

In a campaign that has seen trips to the likes of Switzerland, Kazakhstan and Sweden, Reece hopes to end it by lifting silverware at the Stadion Wroclaw.

Yet a Conference League triumph, he says, wouldn't just result in a new trophy being added to the Stamford Bridge cabinet, it would also further build that all-important winning mentality within the squad.

‘It would mean a lot to me and to the club,’ the Blues captain explained at a pre-match press conference alongside Colwill. ‘For a lot of the players, it would be their first trophy. A lot of young players have played such a key part in the competition this season, so it would mean a lot.

‘It’s been a few years since we got our hands on silverware, and I would like to think this could bring the winning feeling back to the club and help the players who haven’t won so much in their career so far.’

Levi – fresh off scoring the winner against Nottingham Forest on Sunday that secured Champions League qualification – echoed Reece’s thoughts and said he and his team-mates will give everything to deliver a new piece of silverware to the Blues supporters.

‘For the Chelsea fans, it will be huge to win every trophy possible,’ Colwill added.

‘We are going to do it for them tomorrow, work extra hard for them. For the team, it will be amazing for some of us to win our first competition, and I’m really excited about the game tomorrow.’
