The midseason transfer window came to a close last night. Here’s a summary of everything you need to know about Chelsea's activity during January across all our teams…

Chelsea new signings January 2024

Dujuan Richards

The teenage Jamaica international completed his previously agreed move to Chelsea from the Phoenix Allstars Football Academy in January, after turning 18 years old in November. Richards has been capped 10 times by Jamaica and scored his first international goal against Trinidad & Tobago in June 2023.

Chelsea loans January 2024

Eddie Beach

Goalkeeper Beach will spend the remainder of the season on loan at National League side Gateshead. He made 11 appearances for Chelsea Under-21s in the first half of the campaign and was named on the men's first-team bench on a couple of occasions.

Armando Broja

The 22-year-old Albania international will spend the rest of the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Premier League neighbours Fulham. He made 19 appearances for the Blues this season and scored in our victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage in October.

Jamie Cumming

The 24-year-old Academy graduate has completed a loan move to League One side Oxford United. The goalkeeper has previously spent time on loan at Stevenage, Gillingham and MK Dons, being named Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year at the latter.

David Fofana

The Ivory Coast international striker will continue his development in the Premier League with Burnley, having made 17 appearances - four of which came in the Champions League - for Union Berlin during the first half of the campaign.

Ian Maatsen

The Dutchman completed a loan move to Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund after signing a new contract which commits his future to Chelsea until at least 2026. The 21-year-old has made 15 first-team appearances for the Blues this season.

Alex Matos

Matos made his Chelsea debut in our victory over Fulham in October and a second appearance came in the Carabao Cup win against Blackburn Rovers. He will now continue his development at Huddersfield in the Championship.

Andrey Santos

The 19-year-old spent the first half of the campaign at Nottingham Forest and will now continue his development in Ligue 1 with Strasbourg. A full international, Andrey is currently captaining Brazil Under-23s at the CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament in Venezuela.

Chelsea loan returns January 2024

Cesare Casadei

The Italian midfielder made 25 appearances in all competitions for Leicester City this season, scoring three goals, before returning to Chelsea in January. He made his senior Chelsea debut in the same month, as a substitute against Liverpool in the Premier League.

Diego Moreira

The Portugal Under-21 international made nine appearances during his time in France with Lyon. Moreira joined Chelsea in the summer from Benfica and made his Blues debut in our Carabao Cup victory over Wimbledon in August.

Ted Sharman-Lowe

The England Under-20s international goalkeeper returned from a loan spell with Bromley, featuring for the club in the National League, FA Trophy, and London Senior Cup.

Chelsea Women new signings January 2024

Nathalie Bjorn

The Blues completed the signing of our new centre-back from fellow Women's Super League side Everton. The 26-year-old has penned a three-and-a-half-year deal with the club until the summer of 2027 and was part of the Sweden squad which finished third at last year's World Cup, alongside Zecira Musovic and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd.

Mayra Ramirez

The 24-year-old striker put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year deal and makes the switch from Levante, where she had been plying her trade since the summer of 2022. The Colombian striker has 30 international caps and became the first player from that country to represent Chelsea Women when she made her debut in a 3-0 win at Brighton.

Chelsea Women loans January 2024

Cerys Brown

The young defender will spend the remainder of the 2023/24 season on loan at Watford of the Barclays Women’s Championship. The 18-year-old signed her first professional contract with the Blues in July.

Aimee Claypole

Our teenage forward will spend the rest of this season in the Barclays Women's Championship with Lewes. She was the top scorer in the Women's Super League Academy last season and is an England Under-19 international.

Chelsea Women loan return January 2024

Nicky Evrard

The goalkeeper was recalled from her loan at fellow WSL side Brighton & Hove Albion after suffering a hamstring injury while on international duty with Belgium.

Chelsea Women departure January 2024

Jessie Fleming

The 25-year-old completed a permanent transfer to Portland Thorns of the National Women’s Soccer League in the USA. The Canadian international joined the Blues in July 2020 and went on to score 12 goals in 111 appearances for the Blues, lift three Women’s Super League titles, three FA Cups, one League Cup, and a Community Shield.
