After an outstanding debut campaign in which he has struck 20 goals, Chelsea forward Joao Pedro has been emphatically voted as our men's Player of the Season by supporters.
Joao Pedro received more than 60 per cent of the votes cast in our online poll, reflecting his consistent performances during the campaign and prowess in front of goal. Enzo Fernandez placed second in the voting, with Moises Caicedo third.
The Brazilian international will be presented with the 2025/26 Player of the Season award ahead of this evening's Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.
Signed from Brighton and Hove Albion in July 2025, Joao Pedro made an immediate impact for the Blues at the FIFA Club World Cup, scoring twice in the semi-final and again in the final to help us win the inaugural revamped tournament.
His goalscoring form was maintained during the opening weeks of the 2025/26 campaign, with the 24-year-old netting away to West Ham United and at home to Fulham.
He also struck the only goal as we claimed victory at Tottenham Hotspur in November and opened his Champions League account the following month with a close-range finish in our league phase fixture against Atalanta.
As the campaign has progressed, Joao Pedro has gone from strength to strength. He has scored 13 goals in his last 22 Chelsea appearances in all competitions, including a memorable brace away to Napoli in the Champions League and a hat-trick at Aston Villa, his first in the top flight.
His 49 appearances in all competitions this season is a total only bettered by Enzo Fernandez and Pedro Neto, and Joao Pedro is just the 11th Chelsea player to have scored 20 goals during their first campaign at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League era.
Our No.20 has been a provider, too. He has claimed five Premier League assists this term in addition to finding the net 15 times in the top flight.
It is an output that has seen him become only the sixth Chelsea player – after Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Eden Hazard, Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Cole Palmer – to register 20 Premier League goal involvements in his first season in blue.
Congratulations on an excellent season, JP!
