Joao Pedro was on the scoresheet four times for Chelsea in March, and it is a strike from the Brazilian's hat-trick against Aston Villa that supporters have voted the month's standout.
It is the second month in succession that Joao Pedro has received our Goal of the Month award; the 24-year-old also did so in February with a fine finish against Leeds United.
This time, the striker’s award-winning goal came during our trip to Villa Park on 4 March, and it was a strike that completed an impressive first-half turnaround by for the Blues.
Two of Joao Pedro’s goals against Villa were nominated for our March award - along with another from our No.20 against Wrexham in the FA Cup - but it was the second which won out in the poll of supporters, with 32 per cent of the votes.
His first of that game in the Midlands came second, with 19 per cent, making it a one-two for Joao. Third place went to Josh Acheampong, whose thunderous finish against Wrexham received 15 per cent of the votes.
But the winner was Joao Pedro’s deft finish to give us the lead against the Villans, having already slotted in at the end of a fine team move to equalise after the home side’s early opener.
The Brazil international would go on to complete his hat-trick and the scoring to make it 4-1 by the final whistle, earning him the Man of the Match award and continuing his strong form since the turn of the year.
Congratulations again, Joao!
