Chelsea Football Club can confirm that young defender Jorja Fox has sustained an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture while on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Fox has returned to Chelsea to begin her rehabilitation with the club’s medical team and continue her recovery.

The 19-year-old rose through the ranks of Chelsea Women's academy and made her senior debut for the Blues against Aston Villa in the 2020/21 campaign, before joining Brighton and Hove Albion on a season-long loan for the 2022/23 season.

Everyone at Chelsea would like to extend their best wishes to Jorja for her recovery.
