Bartel joined the Blues from Barcelona in the summer of 2024, signing a contract until 2027.

The 21-year-old made her Chelsea debut in October, coming on as a second-half substitute against Twente in the Champions League group stage, and featured once more when we faced Celtic at home in the same competition.

In the second half of the campaign, Bartel embarked on a loan to move to Liverpool. There she featured in seven matches, including five in the WSL.

On the international stage, Bartel was instrumental in Spain winning the Under-20 World Cup in 2022 and was named in the Team of the Tournament. She also won the Under-19 European Championship in the summer of 2023 and played every game in both competitions.

The midfielder now makes the move to Atletico Madrid, who finished third in the Spanish top flight last season.
