Chelsea Football Club is pleased to announce that Academy winger Ryan Kavuma-McQueen has signed his first professional contract with the club.

Kavuma-McQueen joined Chelsea at Under-8 level and progressed through the Academy to become an exciting and direct wide player. During his schoolboy years, he played a key role in lifting the Under-15 Premier League Floodlit Cup and went on to feature regularly for the Under-18s during the 2024/25 season.

That campaign also saw the winger make his Under-21s debut in a 2-0 victory over Manchester United. After signing his Chelsea scholarship in July 2025, Kavuma-McQueen quickly established himself as a regular starter for our Under-21s, scoring in a 5-0 Premier League 2 win against Newcastle United.

He has since gained valuable European experience, making his Under-19 UEFA Youth League debut against Bayern Munich and scoring in a 5-2 victory over Benfica. His continued development was recognised with a place on the bench for the men’s UEFA Champions League home win over Ajax.

On the international stage, Kavuma-McQueen has represented England at Under-17 level, scoring four times in a thrilling 7-5 victory over Germany in September 2025.

Congratulations, Ryan!
