We are edging ever closer to the start of the 2025/26 season and we have picked out some of Chelsea’s important dates to add to your calendar, from pre-season to cup finals.

We have not picked out every fixture, instead selecting some of the fans' standout matches and highlighting other dates of note.

As always, it is important to note the date of matchday fixtures are always subject to change, with many of the bigger games moved because of television broadcast.

Friday 8 August – The Blues return to action when we kick-off the VisitMalta Weekender against Bayer Leverkusen at Stamford Bridge.

Sunday 10 August – Our second and final pre-season friendly sees us take on AC Milan at the Bridge in the VisitMalta Weekender’s conclusion.

Sunday 17 August – Chelsea host Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge in our first Premier League fixture of 2025/26, with kick-off at 2pm as the game will be shown live by Sky Sports.

Friday 22 August – Our first away clash of the season sees us make the short journey across London to visit West Ham United. For those unable to get a ticket, the game will be televised on Sky Sports.

Thursday 28 August – The draw for the league phase of this season’s UEFA Champions League will be held, revealing the first eight opponents on our return to the top tier of European competition.

Saturday 30 August – Our nearest of neighbours visit the Bridge for an early kick-off which will be broadcast live on TNT Sport.

1-9 September – The first of the 2025/26 season’s international windows arrives early in the campaign, with most countries playing two matches during that period.

Tuesday 16 September – The opening fixtures of the 2025/26 Champions League league phase will be played, as Chelsea return to the competition following last season’s fourth-place finish in the Premier League.

Wednesday 24 September – Chelsea’s Carabao Cup campaign will begin, when we enter the competition in the third round along with the rest of the sides competing in Europe.

Saturday 4 October – We will face the reigning champions, as Premier League winners Liverpool come to west London.

6-14 October – Club football will take another break for an international window.

Saturday 1 November – We travel to the London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

10-18 November – The last international window of 2025 arrives, with countries looking to finalise their place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

20-30 December – The festive season is one of the highlights of the football calendar in England and we will have three enticing clashes over an 11-day period. A trip to Newcastle United (Sat 20) is followed by home matches against Aston Villa (Sat 27) and Bournemouth (Tues 30).

Saturday 3 January – We kick off the new year on the road, when we travel to take on Manchester City in the Premier League.

Saturday 10 January – Chelsea and the rest of the Premier League teams begin their FA Cup campaign in the third round.

Thursday 29 January – The eighth and final fixtures of the league phase of the Champions League will be completed, as Chelsea and the rest of the hopefuls learn who has progressed to the knockout rounds, who has been eliminated and who has a second chance in the play-offs.

Sunday 22 March – The first of 2025/26’s silverware will be up for grabs in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium.

Saturday 28 March – The first international window of 2026 is also the last before teams begin to name their provisional squads for the summer’s upcoming World Cup.

Saturday 16 May – This season’s FA Cup final will be held at Wembley before the conclusion of the Premier League, due to the summer’s World Cup.

Sunday 17 May – If we do not reach the FA Cup final then Tottenham will come to the Bridge for the last of our 2025/26 London derbies.

Sunday 24 May – Our final Premier League fixture of 2025/26 will also be one of our longest away trips in the competition, when we play newly-promoted Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Saturday 30 May – The very last game of the 2025/26 club season will be in Budapest, as the Hungarian capital hosts the Champions League final.
