Manchester United won 63 per cent of the aerial duels contested and cleared the ball 19 times.

No player won more headers than Harry Maguire, and the centre-back also topped the list for clearances and interceptions.

Man United had the game’s best tackler, too, Aaron Wan-Bissaka winning the ball on six occasions. Azpilicueta was next with four successful tackles.

Our pass success rate was 85 per cent. We completed 442 of our 523 passes.

Emerson and Kovacic were our top passers in terms of both success rate and quantity. Kovacic completed a game-high 68 passes (out of 74) with a 92 per cent completion rate. Emerson was next in blue, finding a team-mate on 52 occasions (out of 55), with an even better success rate of 95 per cent.

Victor Lindelof (54/64) and Paul Pogba (48/62) were the hosts’ top passers.

When it came to key passes, Pedro made five, Pogba and Mason Mount four apiece, and Kovacic two.

Kovacic was also the most successful dribbler, with five take-ons completed out of five. Anthony Martial made four, and Pedro and sub Christian Pulisic three.
