An old rivalry returns as the Blues travel to Elland Road in the Premier League. Here are all the crucial facts and figures for Tuesday night's away trip...

With the Premier League season a third of the way through ahead of this midweek round of fixtures, Chelsea are third in the table with 24 points, six points behind leaders Arsenal and just one below Manchester City, while only five points separate the Blues and Bournemouth in 11th place.

Leeds United are 18th with 11 points from 13 games, although West Ham United are above them and out of the drop zone due to a higher total of goals scored.

Head-to-head

Since 2003, Chelsea have won eight of our 11 meetings against Leeds in league and cup (two draws, one defeat). Our one defeat in that time was when we last visited Elland Road in August 2022 (3-0).

Chelsea have won six of our 48 league games at Elland Road against Leeds United, the most recent being in May 2022, when goals from Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic and Romelu Lukaku secured a 3-0 win.

Leeds first hosted Chelsea at Elland Road in 1927, winning 5-0. Since then, six different Chelsea managers have come away with maximum points – David Calderhead (1930), Leslie Knighton (1936) and then, following a 52-year gap, Bobby Campbell (1988), Glenn Hoddle (1994), Gianluca Vialli (2000) and Thomas Tuchel (2022).
