Former captain and one of the most successful players in Chelsea history, Gary Cahill, will be returning to the Stamford Bridge pitch on Saturday 11 October.

That is the day when Chelsea Legends play Liverpool Legends to raise money for the Chelsea Foundation and the Chelsea Players’ Trust. The match, which takes place during the men’s football international break, kicks off at 3pm with seats on general sale now, priced at £17.50 for juniors and seniors, and £35 for adults.

Cahill’s outstanding run of trophy success began just a few months after he became a Blue, when he was one of the heroes of Munich 2012, and he followed that up as a crucial player in two Premier League triumphs and with Europa League and League Cup successes. He was the captain who lifted our most recent FA Cup in 2018.

For next month’s Legends match, Cahill will be reunited in defence with John Terry and will be managed once again by Roberto Di Matteo, as he was for the famous Champions League victory. Eden Hazard, Diego Costa, Ramires, Petr Cech and Salomon Kalou are more of his former team-mates who will be rolling back the years against their counterparts from Anfield.
