The countdown to the return of football is under way, with less than a month remaining until Chelsea return to the pitch, when we begin our pre-season tour of the USA ahead of the start of the 2023/24 campaign, with tickets still available to see us back in action in America.

New faces

The matches will be the first to be played with our new head coach Mauricio Pochettino at the helm, and with the signing of Christopher Nkunku confirmed, the France international is due to be part of the travelling squad for the summer fixtures.

The games

We begin pre-season in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on Wednesday 19 July, when Chelsea take on Wrexham at the Kenan Stadium as part of the 2023 FC Series. General admission tickets are already sold out for that match (Club Chelsea hospitality packages are on sale), but there are still tickets available for all of our other four games in the USA this summer.

The Blues are touring the USA for the second year in a row, having visited Las Vegas, Charlotte and Orlando in 2022. This time, we will be following up that opening match with Wrexham at the University of North Carolina by competing in the first-ever Premier League Summer Series in America.

We will open the tournament when we face Brighton at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on Saturday 22 July, before moving on to Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium to play Newcastle United on Wednesday 26 July and then Landover, Maryland, where we will be up against Fulham on Sunday 30 July.

In additional to our involvement in the FC Series and Premier League Summer Series, Chelsea will play a further friendly fixture with German side Borussia Dortmund at Soldier Field in Chicago, on Wednesday 2 August, before we return to London.
