Levi Colwill discusses a new chapter in his Chelsea career as part of an exclusive interview in the matchday programme for Saturday’s Premier League fixture against Bournemouth.

The homegrown Blues defender missed much of last season through injury and now has a fresh mentality under Xabi Alonso this season.

‘This is a new chapter in my life and I’m feeling good,’ he explains. ‘I’m a different person, I’ve learned so much, but I feel like it’s for the better, and I’m ready to push on.

‘I’ve seen ups, downs, a big injury. I’ve probably been through more than an average player would normally go through in his career already. But it’s all helped me in different ways, made me more experienced and a more mature head than probably most 23-year-olds out there.’

Colwill also talks about the intricacies of playing in a back three, which is fitting in a programme where our Greatest Games feature harks back to the 2016/17 title-winning campaign, when a 3-0 win over Bournemouth made up part of a 13-game winning run after we switched to a 3-4-3 system at the beginning of autumn.

Our latest Legacy feature also takes us back to a title-winning recipe, as we look at the impact of Ted Drake on the club, how he took Chelsea from mid-table mediocrity to our first league championship, before struggling to repeat the trick with a young side known as Drake’s Ducklings.

Elsewhere, inspired by Moises Caicedo’s outrageous Goal of the Season winner against Bournemouth in May 2024, we’ve picked out our Five Long-Range Stunners for your enjoyment.

We also have all the info you need ahead of this weekend’s match, plus columns from Xabi Alonso, Reece James, Sonia Bompastor and our Academy coaches. We have the latest news, stats and facts, plus your messages.
