We sat down with Chelsea players ahead of the Club World Cup to discuss their favourite ever line-up and unsurprisingly, Academy graduate Levi Colwill's XI was not short of Blues legends!
You can pick any footballer, from any era, and the best thing about these teams is they are subjective. There can't be a right or wrong answer.
For many, their line-up will comprise of players who made their names at multiple clubs around the globe. But with Colwill coming through the ranks at Cobham, his XI is full of Blues legends and also includes three current Chelsea stars who are well on their way to achieving that status!
So here is Levi's favourite XI...
Goalkeeper: Petr Cech
Growing up as an Academy boy, everyone used to rave about how good he was and rightly so. He was a joke. The levels he hit at Chelsea were amazing. Second to none. So definitely him.
Right-back: Reece James
I’ve got to put skip in. Academy boy. He is a joke. Everyone knows how good he is. Some of the things I see him do with a ball, day in and day out, is amazing. He has won the Champions League with Chelsea and I don't think people realise how good he is. Reece is amazing, there is no two ways about it.
Centre-back: Thiago Silva
I used to watch him all the time growing up, especially during that period when my dad would make me study him and Ashley Cole. He was a smaller centre-half, like I was trying to be at that time, and the levels he reached were unreal.
Centre-back: John Terry
A Chelsea legend. What he achieved in the game and the heights he hit were amazing. I had to include him.
Left-back: Ashley Cole
I've worked with him and I know what a top person he is. But before that, I used to sit and watch his clips as a kid. He was on a different level. My dad used to make me study him because I played left-back at the time. He really influenced me.
Centre midfield: Steven Gerrard
He was my idol growing up. My family were Liverpool fans, so everything in my house growing up was Gerrard. I even had a dog named after him! He’s one of the best to ever do it.
Centre midfield: Moises Caicedo
I’ve played with him for a couple of years now, and I’d put my house on him becoming one of the best midfielders in the world. I don’t know how he’s that good, but he just is. He’s an absolute joke of a player. He is amazing so I can easily put him in there.
Right wing: Cole Palmer
What he’s done in the last two seasons is second to none. He is just so relaxed. Nothing fazes him on the pitch. He’ll score a worldie and he won't be done, he's on to the next one. He is going for more and that mentality is what will take him to the next level and make him one of the best in the world.
Left wing: Eden Hazard
He was a crazy player. At one stage, we’d go to Chelsea games just to watch him. I reckon that happened with a load of people. I remember being at a game, I think it was against Liverpool, and I think he nutmegged two or three players in a row, and all us Academy lads were just like: what is going on? This is not right. How can a professional footballer look levels above everyone else when they are all amazing players.
Striker: Didier Drogba
He had those big game moments. You could rely on him to show up when you needed him and you can't put a price on players like that. That’s what makes them the best in the world.
Striker: Diego Costa
He was an absolute animal on the pitch, he was an absolute bully. If I had to play against him, I’d have nightmares, I just know it. He brought fire and fight, and I loved that about him.
