Liam Delap may have only had a handful of training sessions as a Blue but the striker has already been impressed with the quality in the Chelsea squad.
The 22-year-old signed for the Blues this summer after excelling at Ipswich Town, where he scored 12 goals in 37 Premier League games for a side that spent the majority of the season in the relegation places.
Tuesday morning gave Delap the first chance to see his new team-mates in action, with Saturday's training in Philadelphia ahead of our Club World Cup opener versus LAFC his fifth session as a Chelsea player.
'Everyone has impressed me. The quality is so high,' Delap said on Saturday evening.
'Obviously we have just got off the plane so it wasn't too much of a blow and it is only my first few sessions so we will see [who ends up impressing the most].'
Delap is excited to be in Philadelphia for the first time, although he has been to the US previously for pre-season.
His settling in period is sure to be boosted by knowing a number of Chelsea's coaches and players from their Manchester City days, with Enzo Maresca his former Under-23s coach and the likes of Cole Palmer and Romeo Lavia part of the same side which lifted the PL2 title under the Italian.
'It is really good [to be here],' he said. 'As a new player, it is so important to learn and be around the boys, developing those relationships, because it is a new club. Coming out here, it is really good to get close with everyone.'
'I knew when I came here, I was coming to score goals and help the team as much as possible,' Delap continued.
'The coaches are all clear with how they want to play so I just need to learn and understand the role I need to do for the team.'
The striker may be just 22 but his size, strength and technical ability means he has already given a host of Premier League centre-backs a tough afternoon.
Most Chelsea fans will have seen Delap impress for Ipswich last season or during his time out on loan in the Championship. But with the Blues currently out in the US for the Club World Cup, he is set to play in front of a new audience. So how would he describe his style of play?
'I am aggressive - I like to battle with the defenders - plus I am fast and I am a good finisher so hopefully I am exciting to watch.'
Delap also had a message for the Chelsea fans, adding: 'I am so happy to be here, I am delighted, and I can't wait to see you all at the Bridge.'
