Liam Rosenior has confirmed that Reece James is fine to face Arsenal this weekend but Marc Cucurella and Estevao Willian will both miss out.
The Blues head to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon looking to secure three points in a tasty London derby, and returning to winning ways following our home draw with Burnley last time out.
Rosenior knows just how difficult the task will be against the Premier League leaders but he takes his side to Arsenal in confident mood.
Our head coach offered the latest team news updates when speaking to the media at Cobham on Friday – starting with an update on our skipper’s availability – while also delivering news on Cucurella, Estevao, Jamie Gittens, Romeo Lavia, Dario Essugo and Levi Colwill.
‘Reece is absolutely fine,’ Rosenior confirmed at his pre-Arsenal press conference.
‘Romeo Lavia is getting stronger and stronger. We had a mini-practice match in the week, where he looked really good, which is great for him.
‘Estevao, unfortunately, will be out for a little bit longer but Jamie Gittens is progressing really well in terms of his rehab.
‘Cucu is progressing really well but he won’t be available for Sunday. Hopefully, we get him back in as soon as possible.
‘Levi is doing really well with his long-term rehab and Dario Essugo is back on the training pitch as well. Hopefully, we can get all these players fit and on the pitch before the end of the season.’
