Moises Caicedo signed a new contract at Chelsea last week and Liam Rosenior has added his name to the list of people celebrating the good news.
Caicedo put pen to paper on Friday, committing his future to Chelsea until 2033 – which would mark his ten-year anniversary at the club.
The Ecuadorian subsequently wore the armband for the third game in a row in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United, and Rosenior explained why Caicedo is such an important member of not only the team, but also the dressing room.
‘He leads by example and we’re delighted he’s committed his long-term future to the club,’ said the head coach.
‘He’s somebody who leads by example in his bravery and the way he takes the ball, the way that he presses and tackles and runs and fights for the team.
‘They are all the values that I believe get you success.’
