Chelsea Women star Erin Cuthbert answers our quick-fire questions to help us find out more about what the midfielder and her team-mates are really like behind the scenes…
Who is the first player out on the pitch for training?
That’s a good question! Maika Hamano.
Who do you eat lunch with at Cobham?
My girls Millie [Bright], Sam [Kerr] and Guro [Reiten].
What is the first thing you do when you get home after training to switch off?
Study. I’m doing a PFA course. Or play golf! I’m a seasonal golfer – so I don't play in the winter months.
Who do you sit with when you travel to away games?
Millie, Sam and Guro.
Who is the biggest joker in the squad?
Wieke can be one. We have quite a few this year. I would say Sam, she’s always playing jokes on us, maybe not everybody else, but on us.
Who is the loudest member of the squad?
I think people might say me! But probably Millie. Her voice echoes. She has no indoor voice does Millie.
Which Chelsea player is most active on social media that we should follow?
I’d probably say Millie. Every time I go on my page she has a new story.
Who do you sit with on matchdays?
Millie, Sam and Guro again!
What is the last thing you do before you walk out the tunnel for a match?
Check I’ve got my shirt with the right name on the back! A lot of us do that. Imagine if I walked out with Reiten or Kaneryd on the back. It would go viral!
Who is the first person you send a message to after a game?
My dad. Always.
Which outfield player do you think would make the best goalkeeper?
Sio [Nusken]. Everybody knows that!
Which defender or midfielder would be the best striker?
Millie Bright, a traditional number nine, a target player. Her goal at Liverpool before the break was a striker’s finish though – she has both sides.
What is one thing that has surprised you about Chelsea?
It’s quite hard to say when I’ve been here so long, but just how big the club is, and how much it matters to so many people.
