Romelu Lukaku’s superbly taken first goal against Aston Villa earlier this month is on the shortlist for the Premier League Goal of the Month for September.

It was the Belgian’s first strike at Stamford Bridge and the first in a 3-0 victory over the Villans in which he also completed the scoring.

Latching on to a magnificent through pass from Mateo Kovacic, who had already slalomed past a couple of opponents in midfield, Lukaku cut back inside Axel Tuanzebe before finishing calmly on his right foot in front of the Shed.

Lukaku’s goal is one of eight on the Budweiser Goal of the Month shortlist, and you can vote for our striker to win by clicking here.
