The squad number Mamadou Sarr will wear for Chelsea following his move from RC Strasbourg has been confirmed.
The 19-year-old sealed a switch to Stamford Bridge after a season in which he established himself as a regular starter in Ligue 1. Sarr made 27 appearances for Strasbourg during the 2024/25 campaign and helped the club secure European football.
A France Under-20 international, Sarr has signed a contract until 2033 and the centre-back has opted to wear the No.19 shirt for the Blues.
‘I feel really good, it’s like a dream for me,’ Sarr said after completing his switch. ‘Since I was young, I dreamed of playing for a club like this. Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world and I am very happy.
‘For me, Chelsea is the best club in London, one of the best clubs in England. Chelsea have a good project in place for young players. The supporters, the club, it’s history and the stadium are all fantastic. It’s an iconic club with a full history.'
