Marc Cucurella is the latest Chelsea player to be called up for the 2026 World Cup, after being selected in the Spain squad.

The defender, who was part of the La Roja side that lifted the trophy at Euro 2024, has been selected in the 26-man squad heading to North America this summer by head coach Luis de la Fuente.

Cucurella has proven to be a regular for Spain since making his international debut in 2021, earning 23 caps for the national side and looking to add to that figure in the upcoming tournament this summer.

Spain are in Group H and have games against Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay. They begin their campaign on June 15 against Cape Verde.
