Coming to Chelsea was a big move for me, and it’s one I’m so glad I made. It was always a dream of mine to come to the Premier League, and I chose Chelsea because for me, it’s one of the best teams in the world.

I’m really happy to be here, and I can’t wait to test myself in the Premier League. For sure, that’s the best league in the world.

Being on pre-season has been great and it’s been very beneficial for a new player like me to get to know my new club. Working with the manager and his staff, being around my team-mates all the time, it’s been good and I’m very happy to be here.

I’ve spent most of my time with Aaron [Anselmino]. We hang out together and will play on the PlayStation, or maybe play table-tennis when we are not training or resting.

We speak a lot about, sometimes in English and sometimes in Spanish. I can get by in both languages, but I feel I can improve a lot! That’s something I’m really keen to do, improve my English.

I’m with Aaron a lot but all my team-mates have been really good, and we are all getting along well. Not only Aaron but also Dario [Essugo], Joao [Pedro] and Estevao, I speak with these guys a lot too.

Chelsea is full of big players but first and foremost, good people. This is so important for the team culture and it’s why it’s made it easy for me to settle in, to be honest with you. I feel really good here already.

Pulling on the Chelsea shirt has felt amazing, honestly. I know it’s only pre-season games, so it’s not as important as when the Premier League starts, but it still feels great to represent this club and this badge.

I feel good. My fitness is good and we are working hard as a team, under the new manager. I feel good with all the staff too.

The coaching staff have allowed me to play, they tell me to play with confidence and freedom and to help both offensively and defensively. I like to take positive risks and have that confidence when I step onto the pitch. I feel that here.

We are enjoying our time together and we are working hard to be ready for the first game of the new season. This is why pre-season is so important, not only to help create those bonds but to make sure our condition is ready for the first game.

We are focused on ending the pre-season tour well and then starting strongly in the Premier League.
