An Alejandro Garnacho brace wasn't enough for Chelsea in our Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Arsenal, as the Blues fell to a narrow defeat in new head coach Liam Rosenior's first home match in charge.

In front of a full house at Stamford Bridge, which included Ted Lasso stars Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt, and Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who watched on from the Dugout Club, the Blues battled hard throughout and responded well to setbacks.

The first of those came after just seven minutes when Ben White headed home from a corner. The second came shortly after the half-time interval as Viktor Gyokeres powered home a close-range finish.

Chelsea did not wilt and Garnacho pulled a goal back with a well-taken finish at the back post. Martin Zubimendi did add a third for the Gunners but Rosenior's side, despite the absence of several key players, pushed hard and reduced the deficit as Garnacho completed his brace late on.

It leaves the semi-final tie very much alive ahead of the second leg at the Emirates Stadium in three weeks. For now, you can cast your eye over the standout images from last night's contest at the Bridge.
