It proved a disappointing afternoon for Chelsea against Sunderland, as our four-match winning run was brought to an end.
The Blues made the perfect start when Alejandro Garnacho was slipped through on goal by Pedro Neto and powered a finish beyond Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs after just four minutes.
Yet the Black Cats tightened up defensively and levelled the game midway through the first half when Wilson Isador was able to force the ball beyond Robert Sanchez from close range following a long throw into the Chelsea penalty area.
We controlled the remainder of the contest – ending the game with 68.4 per cent of possession – but as the Blues pushed for a winner, Sunderland hit us with a sucker punch as Chemsdine Talbi struck in stoppage time to clinch victory for the visitors.
