Determination. Character. Quality. All three were shown by Chelsea against Aston Villa as we fought back to record a comprehensive 4-1 win over one of our rivals in the race to secure Champions League football.
Unai Emery's side came into the game six points ahead of the Blues and fourth in the Premier League table. They also made the perfect start to last night's fixture; Douglas Luiz finished cleverly after just two minutes in the Midlands.
Yet Liam Rosenior's side responded emphatically at Villa Park. We levelled through Joao Pedro, who finished from close range after a cross from Malo Gusto, and then went ahead shortly before the half-time interval as our Brazilian forward deftly clipped a shot over Villa goalkeeper Emiliano MartÃnez.
The Blues remained in control after the break and Cole Palmer added his name to the scoresheet to put daylight between the sides. A fourth goal arrived soon after as Alejandro Garnacho was set free down the left and unselfishly squared the ball to Joao Pedro, who completed his hat-trick.
From then on, it was certain the points were headed back to west London – and the Blues are now within a victory of moving back into the top-four places, which are guaranteed to secure Champions League football for next season.
It was an impressive, if not faultless, night's work from the Blues, who were roared on by a passionate travelling support. As always, we have pulled together our favourite images from our latest victory, which you can view below. Enjoy!
