This Chelsea team just can't stop winning trophies. The League Cup and an unbeaten domestic campaign were already under our belts, and now this team of winners have delivered the Treble by securing the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium.

After two 1-0 victories in the Women's Super League against Manchester United earlier this season, this final was always likely to be a tight affair.

And that's what the game was like for long periods, but when it really mattered, our quality shone through.

The deadlock was broken just before half-time when Sandy Baltimore converted a penalty that had been awarded for a foul on Erin Cuthbert.

Early in the second period, Man Utd rallied, forcing Hampton to make a couple of saves. Chelsea kept things tight. It seemed like we were heading for another close win against the Reds.

But with six minutes of normal time remaining, substitute Catarina Macario headed home emphatically to make any comeback from Marc Skinner's side almost impossible.

And the celebrations really got going when Baltimore smashed home a stoppage-time volley to seal the victory.

Three goals, three trophies. Chelsea are Treble winners!

Mayra returns

Sonia Bompastor made two changes from the side that featured against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on the final day of the Women's Super League campaign last weekend, bringing in Erin Cuthbert and Mayra Ramirez for Sjoeke Nusken and Wieke Kaptein.

Our first real chance came with a quarter of an hour gone. Aggie Beever-Jones burst into the box and shot from a tight angle, but Phallon Tullis-Joyce was able to gather comfortably.

After Dominique Janssen hit a shot over the bar from 18-yards out, Chelsea mounted a quick counter-attack. Ramirez latched onto a long ball forward out of defence, twisting and turning inside the box, and when her strike was deflected, Tullis-Joyce and Leah Galton were able to somehow block an effort on the follow-up from Lucy Bronze.

The game was opening up for Chelsea. With just under 30 minutes gone, Baltimore strode towards goal, but dragged her shot just wide of the target.

Next came a curling effort from Beever-Jones created by some dynamic work from the outstanding Cuthbert in and around the box. We were having the better of the chances, but the strike was once again captured by Tullis-Joyce.

The breakthrough

Cuthbert was causing a nuisance for the Man Utd defence, and when Celin Bizet's high foot in the penalty area caused her to tumble just before half-time, we were awarded a penalty. Up stepped Baltimore and she slotted her strike into the bottom left corner, with the United goalkeeper going the other way. Advantage Blues.

In the second half, Hannah Hampton was called upon to make a save almost immediately after the restart from Elisabeth Terland's header, and second-half substitute Ella Toone also had her shot saved not long afterwards.

There was then a lengthy delay while Leah Galton received treatment, and as soon as play restarted Niamh Charles whipped a dangerous ball into the box, so dangerous in fact that Gabby George almost turned it in to her own net at the back post.

Goalscorer Baltimore was a real threat in attack. Her backheel in the box played in Beever-Jones, who was only stopped by a vital tackle from George. The France international was involved again just minutes later when Macario crossed from the right hand side, and Baltimore held up the ball well, but Beever-Jones shot went well over the bar.

With the clock ticking towards full time, Chelsea were awarded a free-kick in a dangerous area. The ball was whipped in by Baltimore, and Macario was there to deliver a bullet header to put us firmly in the driving seat with six minutes of normal time remaining.

If there was any doubt remaining about whether Chelsea would hold on for victory, Baltimore banished it emphatically with a stoppage-time goal hit on the volley to put us 3-0 up and put the cup win beyond any doubt.

We could've even had a fourth when Sjoeke Nusken hit a shot straight at Tullis-Joyce, but it was saved and in the end the Germany international had been flagged for offside.

It mattered little. Chelsea are FA Cup winners. Spearheaded by Sonia Bompastor, this side have completed a Treble at the end of this stunning campaign where we remained unbeaten domestically.

What it means

Chelsea have won the Treble, capping off an incredible first season from Sonia Bompastor with an FA Cup win at Wembley Stadium.

It means we have gone the whole domestic season without tasting defeat, with our only loses coming in the latter stages of the Champions League.

The season ends on a high, and there's a chance to see many of the Chelsea squad at the Women's European Championships during the summer.
