Blues interested in Kessie

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie next summer.

According to journalist Claudio Raimondi, the Blues passed up on the opportunity to sign the Ivorian this window to try to get him for free next summer.

The midfielder has proven his quality in Serie A and the Italian giants will need some convincing to sell after the departure of Hakan Calhanoglu and Gianluigi Donnarumma this window.

The report states that the Blues are in the front row for the midfielder if he doesn’t sign a new deal.

The 24-year-old appeared 50 times for Milan last season, scoring 14 goals and picking up six assists.

Saul reveals the reason behind Chelsea move

Our new loan signing Saul Niguez has revealed the reason why he has joined the Blues.

Speaking on Twitch, the Spanish midfielder revealed that the opportunity of playing in his favoured position will hopefully return him to his best form.

‘At Chelsea, I will train in my position. Then we will see if I play,’ Saul said. ‘That is the biggest cause of my decision.

‘I want to go to Chelsea, try the experience and then see what happens. I want to go, compete and help Chelsea.’

Saul also added that the opportunity to play with his friend Kepa Arrizabalaga also excited him to make the move to Stamford Bridge.

‘It is very important that he’ll be there,’ Saul added. ‘It is an important step.

‘If he had not been there, it would have been different.’

Jorginho reflects on Champions League final

Blues midfielder Jorginho has revealed the rollercoasters of emotions he went through on the day we won our second Champions League trophy in Porto.

Speaking to The Player’s Tribune, the Italian also revealed his nerves on the day didn’t allow him to eat before the game.

‘On the day of the Champions League final, I didn’t eat,’ Jorginho said. ‘I was too anxious. Each second felt like an hour. It was the longest day of my life.

‘But when the game starts, you just think about what you have to do.’

The Italian midfielder has had a fantastic summer, winning three European trophies since the end of May. Jorginho was also voted the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year after his successful season.

‘There is no way to explain it,’ the midfielder added about our European triumph. ‘You get so many emotions all at once.

‘I broke down crying, just like my mother. It was too much.’
