Blues keeping an eye on Dybala

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Paolo Dybala this summer.

According to France Football, Juventus are looking to sell the Argentine who has one year left on his contract and hint that the Blues are keen to make a move.

The 27-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Juventus under manager Andrea Pirlo despite, being named the Most Valuable Player in the Serie A last season.

The report also states that the Blues may have to fight it out with Tottenham for the signature of Dybala, a player Spurs were close to signing previously in 2019.

The player has reportedly not been offered a new deal yet at Juventus, however, the Italian club do not want to lose him for free at the end of his contract.

The striker has scored three times and picked up two assists in 16 games so far this season.

Boothroyd trusts Hudson-Odoi to make an impact

England United-21 coach Aidy Boothroyd has admitted Callum Hudson-Odoi is unlucky to not make the senior squad after recent performances.

Speaking to the media, Boothroyd also revealed that the attacker will be using this opportunity to force himself into Gareth Southgate’s plans.

‘I think he’s unlucky,’ Boothroyd told reporters. ‘Not only that, but one or two players on our standby list for this particular squad can consider themselves unlucky.

‘That’s good for me because the quality of the players is so high.’

The 20-year-old will be alongside two other Blues in the England camp. Conor Gallagher, who is on loan at West Bromwich Albion and Marc Guehi, who is spending the season with Swansea.

Hudson-Odoi has played an important role since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea head coach, featuring in 11 out of the 12 games he has been in charge for.

‘You get an opportunity; you take it, things don’t work out, you come down, you’ve got to get back on your bike and go again,’ Boothroyd added. ‘Callum has certainly done that.

‘There are up and downs for these young guys and that is part of what we do, to offer an environment where they can relax a little bit and show what they’ve got.’

Blues finding different ways to confuse opponents

Chelsea players have reportedly been using code words to confuse opponents in games.

According to the Sun, Thomas Tuchel is trying out new ways to outsmart the teams he has faced since he arrived at Chelsea. One way has been to use code words to trigger surprise attacks.

‘You have no idea what is going on,’ an unnamed rival said. ‘But they know exactly what they are doing.

'It just makes the attacks quicker and more deadly.’

Thomas Tuchel is still unbeaten as Chelsea head coach and will be looking to progress to the next round of the Champions League when we face Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

‘Sometimes a guy passing doesn’t even have to look up to know where the runner will be,’ the player continued.

‘They use different words all the time too, so you can’t even work it out during the game.’
