Chelsea linked with Kepa-Oblak swap

According to the Sun, a report in Spain suggests Chelsea are preparing to offer a player swap deal to sign Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid this summer.

The claim by El Chiringuito TV would see the Slovenia international joining the Blues with Kepa Arrizabalaga moving back to Spain to replace him at the Wanda Metropolitano.

‘Oblak is among Europe’s finest goalkeepers winning La Liga’s Best Goalkeeper award four years running between 2016 and 2019,’ the paper added.

‘Kepa, who has struggled this season under new boss Frank Lampard, has been left out of the starting XI in the last four matches with Lampard opting for the services of veteran goalkeeper Willy Caballero.

‘It is yet to be seen whether or not Atletico would accept this offer for their in-demand shot-stopper - who has developed into one of the world's best since arriving from Benfica in 2014.’

Barcelona player at Bayern may be available

According to the Express, several clubs including Chelsea will be interested to learn that Bayern Munich are unsure whether to turn Philippe Coutinho’s loan from Barcelona to the German side into a permanent move. The paper reports the Bundesliga champions have an option to sign the former Liverpool player for £102million at the end of the season but their chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is quoted as saying:‘He [Coutinho] has played well in some games. Sometimes he gives the impression that he's inhibited. Everyone tries to support him. We must hope that he will become an important factor in the decisive weeks to come.’

The Express claims Barcelona could allow Coutinho to leave for another club for £77million in the summer.

Bulka lifts lid on Kante

Polish goalkeeper Marcin Bulka has given an insight into the character of N’Golo Kante, describing him as the most humble of players, Goal.com reports.

Bulka, who spent three years with Chelsea before joining Paris Saint-Germain last summer, didn’t play a senior match for the Blues but had the opportunity to train with the Frenchman and spoke about him in glowing term during an interview with Foot Truck.

‘True engine of the team, you can't start without him,’ said Bulka.

‘Very humble guy, never shows off about anything. Even when they won the World Cup, it was funny watching him awkwardly smile to the camera when everyone else was celebrating and singing with the fans.

‘But he always wants others to shine. If he ran the marathon, he would probably beat that guy who just went under two hours.’
