Blues tipped to sign Haaland

Chelsea are reportedly among several clubs listed as frontrunners to sign Erling Haaland this summer.

According to reports in the Manchester Evening News, sources in Norway see the Blues as one of the favourites to sign the striker.

The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the most sought-after talents in Europe with clubs such as Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid after his signature.

The Norwegian international has continued to prove his goalscoring abilities in Germany and currently has 27 goals and seven assists in 25 games this season.

There is no doubt that the Blues will have to fight off interest from other clubs if they want to sign the Dortmund goal machine.

Borussia Dortmund were also reportedly hit hard financially by the pandemic and if they do not qualify for the Champions League next season, they will have to sell one of their stars.

Haaland’s release clause of £75 million comes into effect next summer.

Terry and Costa show each other love on Instagram

John Terry used Chelsea’s win against Atletico Madrid to spread love to former Blues forward Diego Costa.

On Instagram, the former Chelsea captain shared a few images of him and Diego Costa, both as team-mates and opponents.

‘Diego Costa, I miss you mate,’ Terry wrote. ‘I enjoyed our battles but was delighted when we signed you.

‘What a player and what a great man.’

The striker featured 120 times for the Blues. He netted 59 times and got 24 assists during that time. While at Stamford Bridge, he also won the Premier League title twice in 2014/15 and 2016/17.

Diego Costa, who currently is a free agent, also responded to Terry and shared a lot of praise.

‘I dreamt of playing with some of the best defenders in the world,’ the 32-year-old said.

‘Playing with and against you was a dream come true.

‘You are a legend on and off the pitch and a highlight of my career has been to play alongside you.’

Lukaku discusses Blues impact

Romelu Lukaku revealed his feelings towards Chelsea during a Q&A on Twitter.

The Belgian spent three years with the club, including loans at West Bromwich Albion and Everton.

When asked what he thought of Chelsea, the 27-year-old revealed his appreciation for the Blues.

‘I have nothing but love,’ Lukaku said. ‘They gave me an opportunity to come to the Premier League as a kid.

‘You can’t have everything in life, and I’m cool with that. I’m glad that experience got me where I am today.’

The Belgian is currently working hard in Italy after recent transfers to Everton and Manchester United in England. This season, he has 23 goals and five assists in 30 matches for Inter Milan.

He also revealed what is like to train under former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte. The Italian is reportedly the man who wanted to bring Lukaku to Inter.

‘Training is like a warzone,’ he continued. ‘Our manager doesn’t play.

‘He doesn’t like it when we hold in. I love it.’
