Blues in for Brazilian?
Chelsea are pursuing the signing of Raphinha of Leeds United ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports.
A report by the Daily Mail states the club will not be making a move on today’s Deadline Day, and are instead taking positive steps to bring him to Stamford Bridge at the end of the current campaign.
‘Chelsea have registered an interest in signing Leeds United winger Raphinha at the end of the season, according to reports,’ the story states.
The Brazilian has scored eight goals in the Premier League so far this season.
‘As a result, he has caught the attention of several Premier League clubs including Chelsea and West Ham.
‘Chelsea have registered an interest in signing the winger. However, he will most likely remain at Leeds in January.
‘Therefore, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will look to sign Raphinha in the summer transfer window instead - according to transfer expert Gianluigi Longari.
‘Chelsea will face stiff competition to sign the winger as West Ham are also said to be plotting a move.’
Dembele close to move
Reported Chelsea target Ousmane Dembele is likely to join Paris Saint-Germain today as he looks set to move Barcelona this winter.
The Frenchman has been strongly linked in the media with a transfer to the Blues, with his strong relationship with Thomas Tuchel from Borussia Dortmund being a key factor in that.
Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague tweeted the news of Dembele not moving to the Premier League yesterday, with him suggesting Chelsea were one of two Premier League clubs who ‘considered’ signing the right-winger.
‘Only Chelsea and Manchester United considered the signing of Ousmane Dembele. No other English club negotiated with his agents,’ said Balague.
‘For both it all came too sudden and required to get rid of players. PSG are now negotiating with Barcelona after he reached deal with French club.’

Long-term reported Chelsea target Aurelien Tchouameni has had a price tag put on him by his club Monaco in a bid to fend off interest from a number of clubs.
The midfielder has made 76 appearances for Monaco and has found the back of the net five times.
Chelsea are reportedly ready to battle it out with Premier League rivals Manchester United for his signature however will have to pay a hefty fee for his services, according to the Express.
‘Monaco have slapped a value of £83million on their star midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni as Manchester United and Chelsea prepare to lock horns in their attempts to sign him,’ the report states.
‘Tchouameni is regarded as one of the best young players in Ligue 1 and has forced his way into the France national team in recent months.
‘United and Chelsea are both on the lookout for new midfielders as they look to add more star quality to their squad.
‘According to Marca, the Premier League duo seem to be leading the race to get their hands on Tchouameni,’ the story continues.
