Chilwell has many suitors

The Mirror reports Chelsea face a tough battle to sign Ben Chilwell from Leicester City with several clubs also interest in signing the left-back.

The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for the highly rated 23-year-old but the news report suggests there are several other unnamed clubs who are also pursuing the England international.

‘Chelsea face a battle from at least seven other clubs in the race to sign £70million-rated Ben Chilwell from Leicester this summer,’ states the report.

‘Chilwell has at least four options in the Premier League — two of them deemed to be realistic.

‘And there are further opportunities for him on the continent with interest from big clubs in Italy and Spain.

‘Leicester are under no pressure to sell the 23-year-old, having banked around £80m from Harry Maguire’s move to Manchester United last summer.

‘Chilwell, however, is understood to be open to a move and Leicester will brace themselves for a battle to hang on to him when the 2019-20 campaign finally reaches its conclusion.’

Azpi invites young amputee to Cobham

The Daily Mail reports Cesar Azpilicueta has invited a five-year-old amputee to Cobham to meet our players after learning of the youngster’s inspirational effort to raise funds for the NHS.

Tony Hudgell, who had both of his legs amputated as a baby, has raised more than £145,000 for Evelina London Children's Hospital after being inspired by Captain Tom Moore and vowing to walk every day in June for a total of 10 kilometres.

Young Tony’s bold effort was recognised when he appeared as a special guest on BBC Breakfast on Monday morning with his adoptive parents and there was a surprise in store for them when the Chelsea captain appeared in a video message.

'Hi Tony, it's Azpi here. Everyone at Chelsea is very proud of you and what you are doing,’ he said.'You are an inspiration to us all. When things return to normality, I would like you to come to the training ground to meet all the players. Take care, I hope to see you very soon.'

Piazon feels he is a more complete player

Lucas Piazon has told Goal.com he has benefitted greatly from playing in Europe but still has room for improvement as a footballer.

The Brazilian joined Chelsea in 2011 but has spent most of the past eight seasons on loan at clubs in a number of countries across the continent and is currently at Portuguese side Rio Ave.

However, he feels he has been able to become a better player through his experience.

‘I certainly feel I am a much more complete player now than I was in Brazil, where I didn't defend at all,’ said Piazon, who became a father for the first time last month.

‘In Europe, I learned to play in a lot of different positions and matured as a player, as well as tactically. I believe I arrived from South America as a kid and, slowly, I became a man here in Europe.

‘I think that I can improve further, too. I am still only 26, so there is still space for growth as a player. It is hard to say [what I will become] in football, I just want to finish this season well and see where it will lead me.’
