The squad number Melvine Malard will wear for Chelsea following her transfer from Manchester United has been confirmed.
The 26-year-old has today completed her switch to Stamford Bridge and will begin training with her new Chelsea team-mates once their summer break has finished.
The Blues will then travel to New Zealand and Australia for a pre-season tour, which includes a fixture against Auckland FC on Saturday 8 August and a match against an Australian A-League all-stars side in Sydney on Wednesday 12 August.
'I'm so happy because I have a plan for my life and my career, and Chelsea were a part of that plan,’ said Malard upon signing her four-year deal.
‘It is a great club and a big club so I am very excited to get started. I have played against Chelsea a lot of times and have always lost so I know the team have good players.
‘My objective is to become better every single day and to win trophies. I know Chelsea always have that as an objective and I have that ambition too.’
Ahead of her first campaign at Chelsea, Melvine has opted to take the No.9 shirt last worn by Catarina Macario! And you can purchase and personalise your Blues home kit with our latest signing's name and number by clicking here now!
