She may have ended the game frustrated, following our 1-1 draw with Liverpool, but Sunday was still a special afternoon for Millie Bright and her family as Chelsea's captain broke the record for the most appearances in the Women's Super League.
The Blues legend already shared the record alongside Jordan Nobbs following Bright's 210th WSL appearance last week away to Arsenal, with her former England team-mate now plying her trade in the Championship at Newcastle United.
And this afternoon Bright made her 211th outing in English women's football's top flight away to Liverpool.
Alyssa Thompson's stunning strike got us off to an ideal start but we had to settle for a point in St Helens following Beata Olsson's equaliser just after the half-hour mark.
Bright started once again in the North West and our skipper continues to add to her impressive resume.
Earlier this month she was one of three Blues named in the 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World 11, alongside Hannah Hampton and Lucy Bronze, and in October the 32-year-old extended her record of having made the most Chelsea women's team appearances as she surpassed 300.
Bright has won eight WSL titles, six Women's FA Cups and three Women's League Cups at Chelsea. She was an integral part of the England side that won the Women's Euros in 2022 and captained the Lionesses in the Women's World Cup final in 2023.
And luckily for Chelsea fans, Millie has no desire to stop lifting trophies any time soon!
