There have been two new arrivals at the team hotel in Sydney, with Moises Caicedo and Nicolas Jackson joining up with the Chelsea squad for our pre-season tour.
After touching down in Australia on Saturday evening, the Blues have been working hard under Xabi Alonso to prepare for the season ahead.
Training sessions have been held at Sydney FC's Allianz Stadium and at their centre of excellence, Sky Park, while our opening tour fixture ended in a 6-4 victory over Western Sydney Wanderers on Tuesday.
Caicedo and Jackson were not part of the initial group that travelled to Sydney due to their involvement at the 2026 World Cup with Ecuador and Senegal respectively.
Ecuador, who named Caicedo as their captain during the tournament, reached the Round of 32 before being eliminated by co-hosts Mexico. Senegal fell at the same stage, beaten by Belgium after extra time.
The duo enjoyed a short break following the tournament, but have now linked up with the rest of the squad in Sydney as our tour continues.

Our pre-season tour takes in Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia with fixtures against Western Sydney Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus, AC Milan and Johor Darul Ta'zim as preparations build towards the 2026/27 campaign.
