There is nothing quite like a game at Stamford Bridge and three very special fans were treated to a memorable matchday experience recently, with visits organised by Chelsea Foundation.

The occasions were three home Premier League contests and we report on those special days here…

Chelsea vs Liverpool – Saturday 4 October

When Joshua attended the thrilling Chelsea - Liverpool clash, excitement filled the air from the very start.

‘First of all, I want to thank everyone at Chelsea FC and the Chelsea Foundation for an incredible experience,’ Joshua shared.

‘Watching the players warm up pitch-side and seeing them get off the team bus was unforgettable. All four of us who went agreed it was one of the best days ever. I was massively looking forward to it, and it didn’t disappoint. The day was such a morale booster - and the match alone was just unreal!’

Joshua’s joy captured what football is all about - bringing people together and creating special moments that lift the spirit.

Chelsea vs Brighton – Saturday 27 September

For Ellie and her younger brother Guy, their trip to see Chelsea take on Brighton was a dream come true. Both devoted Chelsea fans, they could hardly contain their excitement as they arrived at Stamford Bridge.

The day began with a surprise - the chance to welcome the players as they arrived! Many of the team stopped to say hello, with Ellie even receiving a few high-fives (pictured top) and a friendly chat from one of the coaches.

The experience continued with an exclusive behind-the-scenes peek including a visit to the press room, a walk through the players’ tunnel, and even the chance to sit in the dugout and watch the team warm up pitch-side.

‘This was definitely Ellie’s favourite part of the day,’ her parents confirmed. ‘It felt so special to be there.’

Although Chelsea did not win that day, nothing could dampen their excitement.

As Ellie’s parents explained, having something so exciting to look forward to means so much.

‘Ellie has been through so much over the last year,’ they said, ‘from her cancer diagnosis to chemotherapy. A lot of time has been spent in and out of hospital, so having the chance to make such wonderful memories together as a family is incredibly valuable.’

Chelsea vs Sunderland – Saturday 25 October

Another young fan, Lennox, was all smiles as he attended Chelsea’s hosting of Sunderland.

Lennox faces daily challenges but he doesn’t let that stop his love for sport. Having just started school in September, he already plays football every Saturday and dreams of joining a team soon.

‘Lennox has been lucky enough to visit Stamford Bridge before,’ his dad said, ‘but today was unbelievable - something so very different. He faces a lot of adversity, and the winter months can be particularly hard, but today has made his day. Seeing the players arrive, being pitch-side, and especially getting to chat with Liam Delap was just amazing.’

For Joshua, Ellie and Lennox, these matchday experiences meant far more than 90 minutes of football - they were moments of joy, strength and connection – and these families shared days they will treasure forever.
