Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount scored in both league outings against Leeds United last term and he is relishing the opportunity of making it three from three on Sunday.

The Blues travel to Yorkshire looking to extend our unbeaten run against Leeds in all competitions to nine matches.

Despite the cagey and hostile atmosphere at times at Elland Road, Mount says it is a place he has thrived at in his career, from scoring in the Championship play-offs for Derby County to continuing his form there for Chelsea.

‘I love to play at Elland Road. It can be very hostile at times so you revel in these moments. I have had some good memories there and hopefully that continues next game,’ he said.

When assessing our opening two matches, Mason says we probably should have six points, not four.

‘I thought the Everton one was a tough win we obviously got the goal to get the three points but anything could have happened in the game, it was up and down,’ he said.

‘The Tottenham one, we probably should’ve won. It’s one that you look back and say we were ahead in the game and then loads of stuff happened, a bit of controversy and then it was 2-2.

‘I think we can proud of the start. Defensively we’ve been quite solid, and we’ve been going forward and creating some chances so controlling the games.’

The Cobham graduate also hailed the instant impact of summer additions Marc Cucurella, Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling, who all had a part to play in one of our goals against Spurs last weekend.

‘They’ve had a really good impact, all come in and been very confident. Come into the group and settled straightaway. They are top guys and they are going to do big things for our club and to this team.’
