Mason Mount has been nominated for the Premier League’s March Goal of the Month award for his decisive strike against Liverpool.

In addition to putting in a Man of the Match performance against the Reds, our midfielder scored a great goal at Anfield. He got on the end of N’Golo Kante’s long ball over the top out wide on the left and evaded the attentions of Fabinho and Trent Alexander-Arnold as he cut inside and curled a low shot past Alisson and inside the far post.

Vote for Mount here!

It was the most recent of Mount’s six goals in all competitions so far this season and part of an impressive run during which the 22-year-old found the net in three consecutive Premier League away games, the other two being against Sheffield United and Southampton.

That effort secured a 1-0 victory over the Premier League champions on their own turf, and has now been recognised as one of the best top-flight goals over the past month.

You can help Mount claim the honour of the Premier League’s Goal of the Month winner for March by casting your vote, with the award’s destination decided by a public poll.

The other players in the running on the shortlist are Che Adams (Southampton), Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City), Jesse Lingard (West Ham United), Dwight McNeil (Burnley), Leandro Trossard (Brighton & Hove Albion), Harry Kane and Erik Lamela (both Tottenham Hotspur).

If Mount were to win the Premier League’s Goal of the Month award, he would become the first Chelsea player to receive that honour since Eden Hazard, for his fine solo effort against West Ham in April 2019.

You have until 6pm on Monday 29 March to have your say, with the winner being announced on Friday 2 April, so cast your vote for Mount now here.
