There was a clear winner in our December Goal of the Month vote, with Chelsea fans selecting Mason Mount’s sweet volley at West Ham as our best strike.
The England international superbly found the bottom corner on the volley at the London Stadium at the start of last month, although the goal couldn’t earn us anything from the game as the Hammers ran out 3-2 winners.
Mount’s goal was the standout winner in our poll, earning 52 per cent of the votes from Chelsea fans around the world who participated across The 5th Stand app and the official club website and you can view his winning strike again below.
Sam Kerr’s sublime lob in the Women’s FA Cup final victory over Arsenal came in second place, with the Australian earning 23 per cent of the voting.
In third place was Timo Werner’s second goal against Zenit St Petersburg in the Champions League, with the German receiving 11 per cent of the votes.
