Mykhailo Mudryk provided an assist and won Ukraine a penalty as they reached the final four of the Under-21 European Championships after a 3-1 win over France.

The forward joins his team-mates and Young Lions duo Noni Madueke and Levi Colwill in the semi-finals, after England's 1-0 win over Portugal earlier this evening.

He was the difference maker for his nation, too, after some neat footwork and trickery won Ukraine a penalty to level the scores in the first half.

France had taken the lead early on but then the comeback was complete after a stunning lofted through-ball from Mudryk saw Heorhiy Sudakov race through on goal, before he finished well.

The Blues winger was then substituted before Ukraine could make it 3-1 and seal their place in Wednesday's final four showdown with Spain. It is their first semi-final appearance since 2006.

England play Israel on the same day, meaning Chelsea could have at least one representative in the final of the Under-21 European Championships next Saturday 8 July.
