Andy Myers will leave his role as Chelsea’s loan player technical coach to join Millwall as part of Joe Edwards’s backroom staff.

The former Blues defender, who made over 100 appearances for us during his playing career, heads to south London to join the Lions as assistant head coach following the appointment of former Chelsea coach Joe Edwards as their new boss.

Myers has been part of the staff at Cobham for a number of years and moved into his current role in the summer of 2022, having previously been the development squad head coach for three seasons prior.

Previously Myers spent a season in a coaching role at Vitesse Arnhem in 2016/17, before returning to Cobham to assist Edwards with the development squad, a partnership that will now be resumed at the Den.

Best of luck at Millwall, Andy!
