Nathalie Bjorn hopes to see a dominant display from the Blues when we return to Women's Super League action following the international break to take on her former club Everton.
We return to league duty a fortnight after a 5-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur in our previous outing and travel to Goodison Park to face the Toffees. Sonia Bompastor's side will arrive in Merseyside with a flawless start in terms of results, having won all four of our WSL games so far this season.
The Blues currently sit second in the league table with 12 points, one point and one place behind Manchester City who have played a game more. Bompastor's side have scored 15 goals - by 10 different players - and only conceded three.
The mentality of this team is to win and to be always improving. That's why defender Bjorn, who swapped the blue of Everton for the colours of Chelsea in January of this year, hopes to see a commanding performance upon her return to Merseyside.
'There is no secret that we have a lot of pressure on us because we've started the season well,' Bjorn said. 'But, we go out and want to win everything that we can so we are used to this pressure.
'We want to keep building on what we did in the previous block. The first game back from internationals is always a little bit different because you've been away playing with different players and different types of football, so it's good for us to get back to work together.
'We want to do a good performance against Everton. We need to be more consistent during the 90 minutes - keep the ball, go on transitions and score goals to kill the games. We usually start the games well and dip a bit, but we know we're good enough to come out from that.
'We want to be the dominant team for the 90 minutes and that is something that we need to work on.
'For example, against Tottenham when it goes 1-1 when you think the game could maybe change we were good at taking matters into our own hands and killed the game. But, we don't want to be in this position where we are chasing - we want to be the dominant team.'
Bjorn has played on three occasions in the WSL this season, starting one league match. It has been a positive start to the season on an individual note, the Swedish international says, and will be ready when called upon to help the team extend their winning run.
'I feel good,' Bjorn said. 'I feel like I've grown into it and the style with Sonia. I think I've done it well.
'We have a lot of competition with the positions and a lot of games across the season, so I'm just trying to focus on myself and being the best player I can be. If Sonia needs me and if the teams need me, then I will be there ready.'
This weekend's opponents currently sit 11th with two points, having picked up a draw in encounters against Arsenal and West Ham and lost three. But, Bjorn insists Everton's position in the table is not a true reflection of the capabilities her former club possesses.
'They have really built something now since Brian [Sorensen] came in,' Bjorn said. 'You can see that in their style of play - they want to keep the ball and have good possession. It was the same when I was there.
'They have done some good performances this season, like against Arsenal. We can't underestimate them because it won't be an easy game.'
