Chelsea is delighted to announce the signing of England youth international Nelly Las from Leicester City on a four-year contract.

The 18-year-old is an attacking full-back who can play on both sides and is also capable of featuring as a wing-back.

Las is an England Under-20 international and has WSL experience through playing for Leicester City’s first team over the last two seasons.

‘It feels absolutely amazing. It's something you dream of since you start football, to sign for a team like Chelsea and to reach a level like this. To be signing for Chelsea, I'm speechless.

‘I'm really excited to run out at Stamford Bridge as a Chelsea player. I've had a look around the stadium and it is unreal. I can't wait to meet all the fans and get the season underway.

‘It is a dream come true to sign for Chelsea. I have been watching this team achieve success growing up, and to be here and signing for this club now, I have no words.’

Las joined the Leicester City Academy in 2016 and made her senior debut for the Foxes in 2024.

Earlier that year, the defender was named in the Under-17 European Championship Team of the Tournament as England finished runners-up, and also featured for the Young Lionesses at the U-17 World Cup in late 2024.

Las signed her first professional contract in 2025 and, after featuring 14 times for Leicester in the WSL during the last two seasons, she spent the final months of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Ipswich Town in WSL 2.
