Like careful, thin brush strokes on a freshly unwrapped canvas, there is an artistic feel to the design of the Nike away kit for the new season – which is unveiled and on sale today.

With subtle red and green pinstripes on a textured surface and cuff trim to match, Chelsea Football Club is proud of this work of art which is why we are exhibiting it in one of London’s most iconic galleries, with Kadeisha Buchanan, Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke starring in the installation.

Framed for the away game

From Turner, Whistler and Rossetti to its Arts Club and auction houses, our Chelsea neighbourhood has long had strong connections with the art world – and Saatchi Gallery on the King’s Road is where our photo shoot for this new London masterpiece took place, with our recent 120 anniversary This Game Is What We Make It exhibition as the backdrop.

The colour palette for the 2025/26 away shirt is inspired by a cult classic kit from days gone by.

Motivated by old masters

In the early 1970s and fresh from securing our first FA Cup and European trophy, Blues manager Dave Sexton, himself an artist when it came to the tactical game, introduced a Chelsea away strip coloured as a tribute to Hungary’s famous ‘Magnificent Magyars’ side from two decades earlier, whose extravagant patterns on the pitch had so influenced his own winning football.

Soon, the simple plain red, white and green of that kit evolved into a white shirt with a broad red and green vertical stripe, whose theme is now reimagined in a subtle form 50 years on.

The 2025/26 away shirt will be worn by our men’s team against Flamengo and ES Tunis at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.

In addition to the new away jersey, shorts and socks, the range is extended by an anthem jacket and a pre-match top, both in matching washed green with a CFC LDN design.

These items join the new home kit in being on sale today in the Megastore at Stamford Bridge and from our online store
