Harvey Vale has signed a new three-year contract with Chelsea and joined Championship side Hull City on loan for the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign.

The England Under-19 international, who captained the Young Lions to victory at the European Championship for that age group this summer, has committed his long-term future to the Blues until 2025 and will continue his development with a first loan this term.

Having progressed through the Academy ranks since joining six years ago, the versatile left-sided attacker made his senior debut under Thomas Tuchel last season in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals away at Brentford.

He finished with five appearances in total and also won the Academy Player of the Year award after starting the most games of anyone for our development squad.

Hull City are currently 11th in the Championship and managed by Shota Arveladze, with Vale joining fellow Chelsea loanees Nathan Baxter and Xavier Simons in Yorkshire.

Meanwhile, Academy striker Jayden Wareham has joined Leyton Orient on loan for the rest of the season.

The young forward has featured in the first four Premier League 2 games this season, scoring a brace in our 7-1 victory over Wolves in August.

Having joined our Academy from Woking, the young forward was a big part of Andy Myers’ development squad last year as he was able to score goals at key moments to aid survival.

The Ascot-born striker will join The O’s on loan for the 2022/23 campaign, where he will be looking to make a good impression for the side currently top of League Two.

Bryan Fiabema has also completed a deadline loan move to Forest Green Rovers.

The Norwegian striker’s loan at Rosenborg BK came to an end last month and the young forward will spend the rest of this season playing in League One. He managed two goals and two assists in his 13 games playing in the Norwegian top flight.

The 19-year-old will link up with the side who gained promotion to League One by winning League Two in the 2021/22 season.
