As the way in which supporters get their news, views and features continues to evolve, we have spent the summer shaping a programme that will bring fans closer to the key figures within the club and give them the platform to keep you informed.

There will be more voices, more columns, more first-person pieces from the players themselves and analysis from those who work at Cobham and Stamford Bridge. We believe the programme should provide valuable insight from within the club that you cannot find anywhere else.

Our first programme of the 2019/20 season is a Frank Lampard special edition, in which the new boss speaks about his return to Stamford Bridge as head coach and addresses the fans directly about his approach.

We’ll also look back at the key moments that have brought Lampard to this point in his career, including an in-depth long read about the summer of 2003. That season, he rose to meet the challenge presented by a host of high-profile new signings following Roman Abramovich’s arrival as owner, flourishing as the team grew in stature and going on to become one of the best players in the world.

Cesar Azpilicueta writes his first captain’s notes, Bruce Buck writes his first chairman’s column of the new campaign, and Willian is the focus of a brand-new main feature, in which the players themselves reveal more about their lives in their own words. In the first of these new first-person pieces, the Brazilian gives us an insight into his faith and explains how he was on pilgrimage to Jerusalem when he received the call-up to the national squad ahead of Brazil’s dramatic Copa America triumph over the summer. He also discusses his relationship with Frank Lampard and the No10 shirt he’ll be wearing this season.

We'll still be the number one source of content on Chelsea's history. As well as exploring what's gone before with our opponents through our extensive photo archive, we'll also be focusing on a different first-team player in a new feature, Previously, which starts with a pictorial look back at Lampard’s career to date. A former player will tell the tale of facing up against the genuine greats of the game in Star Gazing – first up is David Webb on Pele. Fans can find out how John Terry and his team-mates experienced the 2004/05 Premier League triumph in our new historical feature, Secrets of the Chelsea Dressing Room, and club historian Rick Glanvill will be paying tribute to our beloved 1970 FA Cup-winning side in a season-long retrospective.

Meanwhile, Blues legend Pat Nevin will be offering his insights into the day’s fixture, and how Chelsea and our opponents Leicester are shaping up at this early stage of the campaign.

All the programme favourites will remain – interviews and updates from Chelsea Women and the Academy, as well as opposition focus, statistical analysis and the supporters’ message board.
