Chelsea's unbeaten Women's Super League campaign was rounded off in style against Liverpool by academy graduate and Blues fan Aggie Beever-Jones, something which Sjoeke Nusken believes was fitting considering the young forward's impact this season.

Only four players have scored more WSL goals than Beever-Jones' nine this season, with the 21-year-old enjoying a better goals-per-90-minutes rate (0.73) than joint top scorer Alessia Russo (0.64).

Her talent has been known for many years and last season's form during our title-winning campaign saw the forward earn a maiden senior England call-up.

But Beever-Jones has reached new heights this season and has scored some key goals at important times, including in our crucial WSL victory over Manchester City in March and the dramatic winner against Liverpool which booked our place in the Women's FA Cup final this weekend.

The WSL crown may have already been secured for a sixth consecutive year by the time Saturday's fixture with Liverpool came around but with the game still goalless heading into injury-time, it looked as though the Blues fans inside Stamford Bridge were not going to be celebrating victory ahead of the trophy lift. That was until Beever-Jones stepped up and smashed the ball past Rachael Laws at the near post.

'It was so good to celebrate the title like that,' Nusken said.

'The goal Aggie scored, it's incredible that we have her in our team. She's brilliant. That goal summed up her whole season. She's performing well, and I think it's really nice.'

Nusken joined Chelsea from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 so has already tasted WSL success in Blue.

But going a whole 22-game WSL season unbeaten is new, not just for Nusken and the rest of the Chelsea players - no side in the competition's history has gone 'invincible' since the competition was expanded to 22 12 teams.

And Nusken said: 'It feels amazing. With all the fans here, it's such a great atmosphere. We're so happy that we could win again. We are champions now and I'm very happy.

'To go the whole season unbeaten, I think it's so good. I actually have no words for it. It's so amazing.'
